New Year 2012

Less than 12 hours year 2012 is coming, and I did not feel the year 2011 is ending. Busy with work, and this year did not manage to get any break for myself. And this is the last post of this year 2011, everyday from Muara, Brunei Darussalam, to Labuan, Malaysia on morning, and back to Muara, evening. And another year Christmas on onboard the ship, busy with vehicles and passengers.

So, for the year 2012, I need to work smart and play hard. And get more break and exercise for myself because for year 2011, I think my body get fatigue very fast, and did not manage get any single full marathon.

Work, work, work

A month with busy work, and with school break coming soon for both countries Malaysia, and Brunei. Life became more and more busier than normal. The Shuttle Hope just finish the annual survey from the Lloyd's Register classification societies class. And all the hard work put on the ship pay well with succes on the annual survey.

But life just getting better and busy with upcoming school break in Malaysia, and Brunei. And this will increase the numbers of the load the ship and making all the hard work well pay. And I just realize that this year do not manage to get any break from my work. Maybe next year, I should take long break to relax my mind and body... Cross my finger on that...

Labuan

It's have been one month from my last post. Very busy with my works. Now looking at Victoria town, Labuan from the ship, the Waterfront Marine hotel and marina, Labuan port, and etc. The sky is blue with light white cloud around. All looks so placeful today. Wait for berthing at the Labuan Ro-Ro ramp jetty around 3:00 pm at the afternoon. Feel bored, working on my iPad, and try to post something before the month of October ended.

Labuan

It been a long time.

Floating in anchorage area in Labuan, Malaysia. And it's been while, 1 year long from my update updated. Now plying daily from Muara, Brunei to Labuan, Malaysia on MV Shuttle Hope. Accompany only with my iPad 2, to remove boringness from waiting in Labuan anchorage area until the time to work again at the afternoon. Watching Victoria town, Labuan from ship with poor visibility because the haze from open burning in Kalimantan, Indonesia.

PADI Advanced Open Water

I just finish my PADI Advanced Open Water at Kota Kinabalu, Sabah two week ago. Done it with Borneo Dream in Kota Kinabalu. PADI Advanced Open Water course organised by them was really joyful and experienced. It was 2 days course, and it was my first off days since I'm start working in Brunei Darussalam. And the next step for me is the PADI Emergency Response Diver and PADI Rescue Diver before became divemaster. So, my target for this year is the PADI Divemaster.

Fresh update after 4 months

Busy Busy Busy with the work until no time to update my blog. It's been 4 months already since my last update. And I'm already working in Brunei Darussalam for more half of year. Working for the Ferry Service between Brunei and Sabah MV "Shuttle Hope". Now I'm realize that to operate a vessel is not a easy work. That why it take almost all of my time until not time to continue my routine activities when I'm in Miri, Sarawak.

And for past 4 months also, I'm have been not doing any running like I'm always do before I taking this work. Maybe this was consequence I need to take. Since the ferry service operation start last year December until now, a lot have been improved. So, maybe there will been spare time for me to do my routine activities again.

Start My Nikeplus Runs

Last 22nd January Morning, I'm started my Nikeplus running routine again in Brunei and manage to finish 5 miles of total distance. The Nikeplus have new version of web site and I'm not too familiar with there features yet.

Nikeplus 2010

It already a month since my last run. And I haven't been able to do any single running since the Singapore Standard Chartered Marathon last year December. Caught up with the workload that force me to suspend my normal running routine. And now I can feel like I'm gain a few pound of weight.

Need to make time to do my running routine again cause I'm planning to do another 3 marathons this year. And to keep my body in shape and fit.

Work in Brunei

It been a long time since the last update. Busy with the work at Brunei. A new ferry services between the Brunei, Muara, Serasa Ferry Terminal and Malaysia, Sabah, Menumbok Ferry Terminal. The journey take two and half hours and it departure from Serasa Ferry Terminal, Muara, Brunei at 9:30am and departure from Menumbok Ferry Terminal, Sabah, Malaysia at 3:00pm. This new ferry service make the journey from Brunei to Kota Kinabalu, Sabah to be short and easy.

In Brunei

Came to Brunei Darussalam on 13th December 2009 to work. Setting up the ferry service between the Serasa Ferry Terminal, Muara, Brunei to Menumbok Ferry Terminal, Menumbok, Sabah. The actual of the operation starting date have not yet been announced. All my running activity was put on hold until the project start to operate.

Singapore Standard Chartered Marathon 2009

Last weekend 6th December 2009, I'm in Singapore for the Singapore Standard Chartered Marathon 2009 and it was second time I'm ran for the Singapore Standard Chartered full marathon. The event start at 5:30 morning, and there were about 17,000 runners on my categories. And I manage to finish the marathon with time 4 hours, 43 minutes and 48 seconds. A bit better than what I did last year.

Just Back From Singapore

I'm just came back from Singapore last Monday. And the all my leg muscle are sore because of the Singapore Standard Chartered Marathon 2009. I'm staying at the Hotel Bencoolen and very near to town area.

Penang Trip

Some of photos taken using my nokia E71 phone, a bit blur. And this is the first time I'm been Penang. A wonderful state where there a lot places to eat like famous Penang Laksa, Nasi Kandar and other food. Maybe will drop by again some time next year.

Penang Bridge International Marathon 2009 Result

I'm manage to finish the Penang Bridge International Marathon 2009 4 hours and 11 minutes. A bit slow than what I did at the Borneo International Marathon 2009. Nevertheless it's was good result for me. And like usual all the top 3 runners go to the Kenya runners.

Back in Miri

Back in Miri last night from LCCT Kuala Lumpur after one night in Penang island for the Penang Bridge International Marathon. It's have been very wonderful trip to Penang and I manage to meet my long form six classmate that working in Penang. After the Penang Bridge International Marathon, we went around the Penang island because this is the first time I'm in Penang island. Actually not much attraction on Penang island except for the food and old style house shop at center of the George Town. Seen like a lot of the outsiders came to Penang island to enjoy their food.

Drink Coffee at KLCC Starbucks

Arrive at Kuala Lumpur LCCT around 1:00am with a bit of flight delay. Stay there for few hours before get on Skybus to KL Sentral on early morning and from there get on Putra Line to KLCC. And drink coffee before going to explore Kuala Lumpur. It's been 3 months last time I'm been in KL. And will going to Butterworth, Penang tonight by train for first time. Can not wait...

November Nikeplus Run
