Deep Sea Fishing

Friday noon me and few friends went out to the sea to try our lucky in deep sea fishing. We rent a fisherman wooden boat. Leaving the Miri river mouth around 1330 and arrive at first point around 1700 and we start fishing. And we continue fishing until midnight when the heavy rain and storm hitting without warning. The rain and storm continue for 2 hours and start to calm down, but the sea still rough. Nevertheless, we continue fishing until early morning and we decided have enough and we went back to Miri. Arrive at Miri river mouth around 0830 Saturday. My friends manage to caught a few fishs and I only manage to fish small fish. A bit dissapointed, but its was a fun trip.

Back In Miri, Sarawak

I'm back in Miri after my short trip to Singapore last weekend and Brunei. Now back in office and working. First time fly from Bandar Seri Begawan, Brunei to Singapore on Friday 8th May 2009 and came back to Bandar Seri Begawan, Brunei from Singapore on Sunday 10th May 2009. A wonderful and tiring trip. Not much changing at Singapore since my last year december trip. Will be going to Singapore again end of this year for the Singapore Standard Chartered Marathon 2009.

Away from Miri for 4 days

I'll be away to Brunei Darussalam and Singapore this weekend and came back to Miri on Monday. Look like I will miss the 2009 Miri Jazz Festival on 8th and 9th May 2009.

4th Miri City Celebration Run

Yesterday mark 4th Miri City Celebration, and for the first time I'm joining their Celebration Runs on 3rd May 2009. The event kick off at Dewan Suara on 1600 hours and all the runners must wear their red shirt that given by the organiser. And it look like 'Red Thailand Thaksin Supporter' and we runs through Miri town. The runs is a bit disorganise, but nevertheless it was fun and enjoyable runs.

Underwater on Labour's Day

I went for diving on Labour's Day at Miri Water. I'm follow this local dive operator Tropical Dives in Miri and we departure from Miri Marina Bay around 0845 with two more drivers from Singapore and Norway. We went for 3 boat dive around 10 to 20 km from Miri Marina Bay and came back around 1435. It been more than half year since my last dive last year and the weather and water temperature and visibility all in good condition. Feel very good looking at ocean from bottom of ocean and small rain drop from the sky. It's was awesome feeling. Will update more with photos.
